Who We Are

The mission of the Horse Race North Dakota and the North Dakota Horse Park is to develop and promote the sport of live horse racing and all equine-related activities.

Encompassing over 110 acres on the northwest edge of the largest city in North Dakota, Fargo, the North Dakota Horse Park campus houses both the North Dakota Horse Park racetrack and the North Dakota State University Equine Sciences department.  Featuring a six furlong state of the art racetrack, stabling for over 400 horses, indoor and outdoor riding arenas and grandstand seating for 1500 people, the North Dakota Horse Park is a flexible venue available for many different equine activities.

Horse Race North Dakota, a non-profit dedicated to the development and promotion of live horse racing in North Dakota, operates a 6 week live race meet during August and September of each year.  Attracting an average daily crowd of over 2500 people, the live race meet has been increasingly popular with each year of existence.  From college students to families, the track attracts new race fans from all walks of life and Horse Race North Dakota strives to provide an educational environment where a day at the races is fun, exciting and above all a learning experience designed to bring new fans to the Sport of Kings!

Horse Race North Dakota 501(c)4 and the North Dakota Horse Park Foundation 501(c)3 work together to provide top class facilities and services to the horsemen and women of North Dakota.  Both non-profits are served by Executive Board made of local business leaders, academics and horsemen.
